Central High School is a public senior high school in the Grand Forks Public Schools district. It is located near the University of North Dakota. It has a main focus on athletics and is regionally renowned in ice hockey, golf and tennis.

History

Location

GFC is located in the downtown area of Grand Forks, North Dakota. It is near a public parking ramp, which serves as the student/faculty parking lot and Grand Forks City Hall.

Student Body

GFC served 1,129 students during the 2010-2011 school year. About 50% of the student body comes from Valley Middle School located near the campus of the University of North Dakota. About 45% come from Schroeder Middle School. The remaining 5% comes from South Middle School, located in the in the Ulland Addition of uptown Grand Forks, with less than 1% commuting from the Grand Forks Air Force Base and the suburb Thompson, North Dakota.
